Last week I returned from Texas A&M, where I gave a talk at the Society for Philosophy and Technology Conference. The paper my talk was based on was awarded 2019 Best Graduate Student Essay. It’s under review right now — should be published and freely available online in September or October.
There are more publications in the pipeline. The main thing, though, is to complete a draft of my dissertation by the end of 2019.
I’ve been keeping a diary about it. “Fieldnotes.” (The only field I’m in is my apartment). Meta-notes about the writing.
I don’t know if I’ll actually want to hold onto what I am committing to memory. Like the theory dreams and how I’ve tried to make it feel boring. (Boredom’s key to labor). I’m just thinking that one day these marginalia will represent more than the project itself.
